Van der Wiel set out to find the right material to create new objects through magnetism. Essential to this material is powdered metal, which is mixed with a special plastic that attaches itself to the small iron particles. By heating it this mixture turns into a fluid pasta, that can be molded into certain shapes through the attracting power of a magnet. Although the magnetic fields allow for a certain control of the material, due to the unpredictable impact of this natural force every object has its own unique shape and quality.
